1993 F150 XLT: She gonna go low
As some of you know, I have myself a 2006 F150 build going, ended up trading my winter rims and tires off that truck and picked up a new project!
2006 build thread: https://www.f150forum.com/f78/buildi...at-35s-323243/
It's a 1993 F150 XLT, super cab with a 351W in it.
It was a bit rough when I picked it up, half of the cluster and radio didn't work, starter was going and the body was rough.
Everything else worked perfect though, aside from power mirrors.
It came with 31/10.50/15 M/T tires with 85-90% tread remaining so everybody told me to make it a mud truck. I didn't listen.
My plan is to lower it, I already have a lifted truck and don't need 2 right now.
How it sat when I got it:
(My 06 in the background)
I jumped into this project right away and started tearing into it, probably a bit too fast as I didn't label any hardware.
Started with the interior! Wanted to get everything working again and clean it up. Also wanted to pull the big dent on the drivers side out:
Perks of working at a Hydrovac company, high powered carpet cleaning:
Surprisingly, the carpet was indeed blue!:
Next I cut the inside of the door panel out to punch the dent out, ignore the terrible cut, I changed my cutting path mid cut:

The dent came out perfectly! I was surprised that the molding even straightened out:
Tacked the inside panel back in and started reassembling the interior:
All the problems inside turned out to be fuses, easy enough fix. I then blew the 50 amp inline fuse for the amp so I had to replace that as well.
Put a new starter in. Old one was a pain in the *** to remove for somebody like me who isn't mechanically inclined and didn't know the proper way to remove stripped bolts:
Next went the rusty, beat up box:
And then this box came into my life:
It's off a Night edition, came with the tailgate but no bumper. Perfect excuse for a welded on roll pan.
Removed the styleside bumper and started cleaning up the frame:
I then managed to pick up a set of fenders for the truck that are in much better conditon, so I started tearing into the front end to replace them:
Turns out, replacing fenders was a lot more involved on these trucks than I originally thought:
I only ran into like 3 broken clips and only broke 1 myself, pain in the *** to deal with.
That's how she currently sits! Got a few things to take care of on my 06 and then going working on this truck some more!

The passenger side fender I picked up turned out to be very rusty underneath the chrome panel and fender flare so it will be getting scrapped.
I threw it on the truck for now just so I could remount the battery ground to drive it around:
Drivers side is in good shape so I'm going to perfect it before putting it back on.
Cleaned up a decent but of the frame under the box. Just doing cheaper mods right now until I can find somebody to swap their 2wd parts for my 4x4 parts:
New rims on the way! 20" Rims with brand new tires, price was too good to pass up, also have an aftermarket hood on the way:

Started to strip my one good fender while waiting for the rust coating on my frame to set:
Got most of the frame cleaned up so I decided to bring my flareside box in! Have a few repairs I have to do before it will stay on the truck:
Everybody wanted way too much for a 2wd front axle and transmission so when this truck went up for sale, I jumped on it. Runs and only paid $260, gonna be a donor truck for mine:
It has some good body panels so I'm going to part it out to further fund my build.
Sold the stock rims off my parts truck and picked up my new ones. Threw them on the parts truck just so it can still roll around:

The box wasn't fully on as well, just dropped it on the frame to bring it into my shop and unloaded it again
