Here's a black versus blue comparison on the air cleaner:

The original was blue too lol ford painted everything blue. Block, heads, valve covers, and air cleaner. So blue is actually the stock look.

I think the support rods are gone on the drivers side I'm not sure though.

Guys I'm so torn on what to do with that. I've always wanted the Edelbrock one Browning has. But What KMC talking about looks way good too. Also is the funds come along should I do the 7.3 conversion or build up the 400 and save the 7.3 conversion for a highboy Screw?

I'd either build up a 460/429 or a 7.3 for it. The power for the $$$ out of the 400 wouldn't really be worth it.

Very true about the 400. I wonder how much work to do the 7.3 it would be... I love Diesel wish I could do all my cars in diesel. Something about the power gas gives the second the pedal is pushed is what keeps me entertaining the thought of a gas motor.

It'd be considerably more expensive to do a diesel swap, and much more labor intensive

A 6.0? Aren't they problems? I mean I my daily driver pretty much is an 04 Ford Excursion with a 6.0 I love it. But everyone tells me those 6.0 are problems. Honestly from what I've seen from mine it really just keep up on maintenance.

If you bulletproof a 6.0 it will run circles around a 7.3 all day while being nearly as reliable. They're really great motors when you fix the EGR and Colin system issues.
