2012 F-150 XLT to FX4 Conversion
Hello!
I'm fairly new here to this forums since i just got what my dream truck is which was a F-150.
I really wanted an FX4 but they are pretty expensive... so I'm converting my XLT to an FX4 i know I've seen it be done before but I figure I share my progress!
Just wondering if anyone knows if i can get mirrors with the turn signal in them? my XLT doesn't have them at all but I'm wondering if i can add them?
Also know anyone know where i may be able to get the F-150 FX4 Lariat Black Grill? https://i.ytimg.com/vi/wngUIgL8x9s/maxresdefault.jpg < that grill.
Thanks!

I am also converting my 2013 XLT to an FX4. So far i have added FX4 headlights, taillights, grille, side steps, and wheels. I buy the parts used on Kijiji and then sell my old chrome parts. So far only chrome i have left is the front and rear bumpers. I am trying to find take offs, but I might end up vinyl wrapping them this spring if i don't find any.
I found my grille by posting in the WTB section of this site.
Here is a pic of mine thus far. I also had all my badges custom painted.

I'm in the process of doing the same thing, I loved the green gem color but it didn't come in the fx4 trucks. So I have been buying the fx4 parts and converting it over, I know it's not gonna be a true fx4 but to me I don't care, it'll be the only green gem looking fx4 in my area, it'll be unique. I'm currently switching the interior over, I've done the seats I need to do the console and front bumper and i'm pretty much done

I can attest that it is quite a bit of work and takes time. Only way I have been able to get as far as I am is to buy used parts and sell my old parts. I have still had to pitch in money. I'm planning on getting my bumpers, mirror caps and door handles all wrapped in March and that will be the end of the chrome. Your truck looks great, keep the updates coming
