Default '09 STX Wannna Be Tremor Build

I got this truck in August of last year and have done quite a few mods since then. I am going to start with it stock (as i bought it) and work my way to present. The truck is a '09 STX 2WD with the 4.6 V8 in it. I bought it for 15,000 with 30,000 miles on it. After seeing the Tremor announced I loved it and decided to base the mods on my truck on it. Albeit a little more aggressive and less powerful, my truck is very similar to a tremor.

These are the mods I currently have put on:

  • FX Rims with 34" Nitto Terra Grapplers
  • Moody Blue vinyl emblems
  • OEM HIDs
  • OEM FX Taillights with painted edge
  • SuperChip Tuner
  • Leveled front & Put block in back
  • Tinted 3rd Brake Light

I'm getting an error message when trying to upload the pictures so it'll have to wait until tomorrow.

I always thought the Tremor sat way too high. I'd lower your truck or at least lower the rear end to even it out.

i have actually leveled mine and put a block in the rear. I live in Texas and have to drive over cattle guards, pastures and dirt roads to go anywhere haha. A lowered truck wouldn't be close to practical here. Besides, I personally like the more aggressive look.

Hope you follow the build thread!

See the post above that. It wouldn't make it 2ft down the road before the bumper hits the ground haha

Hope you enjoy the thread!

Thanks! I went from looking at the pics to replying without reading the post before mine, yea I see your point. Me and a coworker had a conversation about lifted vs lowered and he made the exact same point you did.

I understand, I used to live down a gravel road myself. But I think you can lower it without slamming it. The wheel gap in the rear on the Tremors is too much, IMO. I bet your bigger tire setup will fix it. Excited to see the build. Wanted a grey single cab myself before settling on a classic style.

I dropped my truck 3/4 and wouldn't think twice going over tall bumps. Mine does fine.

Hmm I guess I never realized that a dropped/lowered truck could still make it over bumps. Still think I prefer the more aggressive look.
