Default 04 fx4 Progression

I've been on the forum for a few months and decided to post up some of the progress I've made on my truck since I bought it. I'm 16 and this is my second car. My first was a 04 subaru wrx putting down 350hp at the wheels. My dad didn't approve of that one for very long...so I had to sell it. So I picked this truck up in August and have been slowly working on it since. I've done most of the work myself and payed for it all myself. It's an 04 fx4 crew cab with 130k. I've had to replace the transmission, 4wd motor, and IWE solenoid so far so I hope I have the big repair bills out of the way for a while. When I first got it it had a 2/4" lowering kit with the rear blocks removed and 265/60r18 street tires. I have no idea why anyone would lower a 4wd truck but it was the only nice 4wd f150 I could find for a reasonable price.

The wrx...

When I first got it right after I put the westin bull bar on it

Dropped 2 10" JL subs that my dad haunder the rear seat in a supercrewsurround box

Alpine amp that my dad had is mounted behind the back seat(didn't take any pics of it mounted)

Installed a pioneer avh-3200bt head unit

Did the Gotts mod and a drop in K&n air filter

Put 2 100w Hella driving lights my dad had laying around in the front bumper and painted the front grille black

Got a kobalt low profile toolbox

Got rear ended a few weeks ago and still haven't had time to get it fixed. hopefully next week

Here's the big one...
Rancho quicklift struts with rancho 9000xl rear shocks and 285/65r18 trail grapplers with 2" rear blocks and a set of Hella 500ff lights with 130w bulbs and piaa xtreme white headlight bulbs with 100w h5 bulbs in the fogs

Put the old 100w hellas under the rear bumper

A little flex

Got a little muddy last weekend

Hard wired an air compressor with a 5 gal tank

Switch panel I'm working on that is going where the ashtray is. I just need to paint in and it should be good. I already have the switches pre wired.

I also got a viper alarm/remote start system. And that's about it for now. Any ideas on what to do next? I think I want to paint the headlights black and I also want to get another set of hellas for behind the grille. I also need to get the front windows tinted. My dad is in LED sales so I'll be getting a LED brake strip and some accent lights to mess around with. I'm pretty happy with it right now though. Any comments/suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

What do you guys think about these lights? I can get them for virtually nothing. I wish the lenses weren't smoked, but think they might still look decent

Looks good! I have those same headlights on my 2008 and I don't really care for them, because you can't see the halos during the day, but if you can get them for cheap I would buy them. Or you could bake your current lights and paint them black and do a projector retrofit.

Yeah the guy just wants to trade for stock lights cause they were on the truck when he bought it and he likes stock better. If I don't get them, I'll at least paint my stock ones black.

Yeah I thought about it too but I don't think I'm going to. I'll probably just paint the stock ones. I don't like the Smoked lenses and don't want to end up with a leaky cheap headlight
