My Lightning swap
Instead of blowing up my build thread or one of the tenth gen threads I'm gonna post all my updates here. For those of you that don't know I'm swapping in a built long block and transmission as well as the lightning supercharger setup.
Engine specs:
Forged crank
Manley rods
Manley - 17 cc pistons
File fit rings
ARP hardware
Trick flow 38cc heads
Stock PI cams (for now)
Stock L top end (will port later on)
60 lb injectors
The transmission is a 4r70w with 7 plate clutchs and a 2400 stall torque converter.
So far I have got the top end off my stock motor, wiring harness pulled off, all the accessories pulled off, pulled the exhaust manifolds off, and the fuel tank dropped. I have a L fuel hat on the way with twin 255s. I also traded fuel rails with my brother since he had the one with the bolt on regulator so I do over fuel it. I'm hoping to drop the transmission next week and get the heat exchanger mounted this weekend. I'm also planning on getting the fuel pumps and IC pump wired up sometime soon. I'll update this thread (hopefully with pictures if I can remember to take them) when ever I can. I'm planning on picking up the engine and transmission next weekend but it may be two weeks from now, not sure yet.

I gotta relocate my washer fluid. I think that's were I'm gonna put all my fuse and relay boxes. Right now I have them on he side of the battery but it's not very clean. Idk where I'm gonna move the wiper fluid to. Maybe the tool box? I need 4 or 5 relays for engine management (1or 2 for fuel pumps, IC pump relay, one for each efan), 3 for standard lighting (headlights, one for each 100w fog), and 4 for aux lighting (2 sets of lights in the front and 2 in the rear). I'll probably reuse my 2 blue sea systems fuse box's since they have a common + and - bus so it makes wiring clean and easy. I found these relay boxes on ebay and got 3 of them. It should make every real clean looking. I can run 6 fuses in each one too but there isn't a common + bus.

60 lb/hr lol. No turbos lol.... The truck it's coming off of did have turbos tho :whistling: If it hits 500 hp/550 tq At the crank how it sits I will be happy. Eventually I'll port the blower and throw new cams in it. Should be real fun to drive with my 4.56s lol

Ahh, that's interesting. Is the engine coming from a user who use to frequent this site often in the past? You don't have to answer that lol.
