Well I figure after over a year of being a part of the forum I better start a build thread. Should of a while ago, but better late then never.

Well this is how she started, plain jane with just a 3" body lift, got it back in April 2011.

I wasnt really sure what I wanted to do to it, and didnt know much about how to do anything on it. With the forum I read up on some things and got some ideas. I started first and put in a few led switches in my upper console. Next some reverse lights cause I could barely see out of the windows since they were tinted. A couple weeks later I seen the Raptor grille lights and ordered some off superbrightleds.com and installed them with some liquid nails. Then came the offroad lights behind my grille.

Interior needed some more done to it so figured I would go ahead and replace the interior lights with blue LEDs and white map lights. I think it was right before the 4th of July and wanted to show my American pride so I rigged up a flag mount in the bed by drilling some holes in the bed and ran two u bolts through to hold it in place. Held up great till a year later, this 4th, and the pole bent and broke off. Ordered some new whip flag mounts a couple days ago so Ill be ready come Memorial day.

I found out the truck was originally from Florida (never even bothered to look at the dealer emblem in the first few months on the back, duh) which gave away why the bed rails and all the plastic was faded bad. So I taped off the bed rails and rear window plastic and painted them with gloss black, looked like new after. Only problem is with these dumb palstic bed rails they get gouged and scratched way to easy, so they are back to looking like crap now. Think Im going to just bedline them. I took a few months off because of the snow and weather cause I dont have a shop to work in, but found a push bar towards the end of march that a guy sold me and welded on to fit my truck. The same week I traded a guy from the forum my stock rims and 31" Cooper STT's for some Eagle Alloy's and 33" Cooper ST's. Painted the rims with plasti dip the next day.

Time to de-chrome the truck! Liked how the rims turned out so I used the plasti dip on my bumpers. Turned out very nice. Painted the push bar with some black rattle can I had laying around too.

Got some black headlight housings to go with the blackout look. Next was getting some protection on the frame. It really doesnt have much rust on it, but the frame was starting. I got a wire brush bit for the drill and scuffed up the whole front frame, blew it off with the air hose, and taped off everything I didnt want sprayed. I just used some rattle can bedliner for that thicker look. Turned out great, and have since done the rest of the frame. Heres a couple before and after shots.

Had to spice up the interior so I ordered some custom camo seat covers from design covers, took them twice to get it right, but turned out great in the end. Also decided to wrap the side door pannels, dash, and center console in camo fabric.

Was getting sick of my old dual radio so I found an Avic N3 screen on craigslist and an N2 hide away on ebay. Nice touch screen setup. Went searching through the junkyard and came across two Ford Taurus' so I yanked them out, paid $30 for the two and $32 for a relay and switch and got efans. Wanted to monitor the water temp and figured if Im getting one gauge mine as well get three . Got a water temp, trans temp, and oil pressure gauges from Glowshift with the pillar pod I painted to match the interior.

Upgraded to some Rancho RS5000 shocks all the way around and bought an Nfab light bar from the forum. Moved the two lights from behind the grille onto the bar and bought two more Rugged Ridge 6" lights. Also installed a new black billet grille. Raptor emblem is still not on my truck, bolts are getting welded onto the back and its getting painted to match the new color. Figured Id throw in a pic from my latest and greatest mud excursion too.
