Default OEM Select Auto Parts - warning!

I am posting this experience to hopefully save others from getting ripped off buy this seller.

In December (2013), I ordered and received a black plastic grille from Beshore & Koller (aka. OEM Select Auto Parts). This part was delivered by UPS, late one evening, in sub-zero temperatures. Based on that fact that I have ordered many new parts for my truck, in this way, and have never had any trouble with a damaged/defective part being shipped to me (as well as the time of night and temp), I put the part up on my shelf to wait a couple of weeks for the weather to warm up. When I opened my new grille, anxious to put it on, I noticed that it was completely smashed on one side. I immediately called the seller, just wanting a replacement shipped out, and they refused to help. They told me I could file a complaint with UPS. So, I did... and UPS determined that the seller was 100pct responsible for the damage to the part, due to insufficient packaging/padding. The next step was for me to send the broken grille back to OEM / Beshore & Koller, for them to verify. So, I shipped it back, paying for the shipping, of course. When I followed up with them, I was told that they would not stand behind their part, or reputation, and would not help their customer. They kept ALL of my money and their broken part.

Friends, I would not buy from this seller. I may have stored the part past their set number of days that they might support/care for their customer, but after UPS verified they had shipped me a broken part, they should have stepped up and done the right thing. Buyers beware!

IMHO, you should always open packages the day they arrive and inspect them for damage.

You are asking for trouble if you wait.

Default customer service

Thanks for sharing your story. I am guilty of doing the same thing of not opening a package right away and it is a hard lesson to learn. I will avoid this parts seller.
