2011 5.0 Candy Red with gunmetal wheels. DIY.
Painted my 20" Lariat OEM wheels. It was an all day event, of course outcome will vary depending with how you prep. I have OCD so prep was extensive, and center caps were removed and painted seperate.
Used wheel paint, gunmetal 4 coats and 5 coats of matte clearcoat.
I think they look amazing, reminds me of the 2003 lightning concept. They're a real head turner too, the truck gets a lot of attention, from guys wishing they would have thought about that before buying black rockstar styled wheels.<br/>

RENGU Demon
Instructions document
Hey guys,
I found this post and these instructions so helpful and informative that I decided to paint my OEM wheels as well, rather than buy new wheels. Before getting started, I took the information here and created a materials list and some instructions I could follow during the operation. I find this helpful so I don't skip any steps or forget any materials.
Anyway, I thought perhaps others could find the instructions I typed up helpful, so I have posted them.
I hope this helps!
