Paint your OEM Wheels

I've got wheels sandblasted and masked. Now to paint black, peel the tape off and flat clear the whole wheel. The sandblasted areas have a great looking texture and will look great under the flat clear.

A few years ago I painted the aluminum wheels on my beater truck. I did a lot of cleaning, then scuffed them really well just as described in the beginning of this thread. Here is a link to the paint I used, I got it at an automotive paint store.

It didn't require any primer and gives a satin black appearance. I didn't use any clear coat. It has held up great on the wheels and you can touch up a scrach easily.
I also did my bumpers with it but the snow and winter crap will wear it off of the front bumper. I have to sand it down and repaint it each spring to keep it from rusting too bad. But the wheels don't need to be touched up unless they rub up against some rocks or something.
Sorry, no pics of that ugly old dependable truck.
