The Definitive Bilstein 5100 DIY Install Thread

Mine were done this morning. I am glad that it was kept on the 1.5' setting because the top would have had my nose high. My rear is about 1/8 in higher than the front as it sits now. To the eye it is level.
I am very impressed with the ride characteristics of the Bilsteins. It is not as choppy as I had envisioned but gives a better feel for the road with less body roll when turning and less diving when hitting brakes.
I installed my rears boots up....better check the instructions ...rears just took a couple of minutes. Also, I did not see any reason to mess with any sort of brake line at all.

0.9% is for suckers!
Looks good.
Yeah on the rears, it's boot down. The piston is on the bottom and it's what moves back and forth.
The King Shocks I bought for the F250 don't have a boot at all. Once these wear out they are coming off.
