Every set of instructions I've read they say you have to disconnect it from the spindle. Disconnect the ground on the battery before starting, ill hopefully be installing a level on my truck on the next couple days.

Default level kit

2 questions???
1--is one brand better than the other?
2-- do I have to add different shocks?

i'm new to the leveling thing

I like HBS (hell bent steel) its powder coated steel. Heavy made. Great price and made in Indiana.
Dont buy aluminum spacers. They oxidize and look nasty and scaley. Dont buy poly. They squish and wear out.

You dont have to change out your shocks. The spacer gets bolted to the top of the stock shock. Just dont get a leveling kit more than 2.5" or you will wear out your front cv joints.

The reason behind the 2.5 an 3inch leveling kits needing to be sput 180, is because that is part of the lifting. If you measure a 3inch leveling kit it doesn't measure 3inchs... It gets that little extra lift by rotating the strut.

Going to do this Monday. Have a 2011 4x4 scab 150.

2" or 2.5"? I'm thinking 2"
