Hey everyone........... I know this thread has some age to it, but I was hoping to here how these lights were holding up after all this time. (Mounted to Shackle)

I to live in New England (CT) and our winters are usually pretty bad. I'm fearful that I will destroy the lights or keep hitting them and changing their angle.

Would anyone be able to comment?

Thanks. Oh yeah. OUTSTANDING write up.

Phil

I live in NE too, far north of CT, and the lights are holding up fine. I have obviously backed into snow banks and no damage. I went over a rock at one point and needed to re-aim one of the lights but it wasn't a big deal.

Thanks for the reply. Exactly the info I was looking for.

I was debating on putting flush mounts into the bumper but really didn't want to cut my truck. Think I'll mount to the shackle instead.

I have mine mounted under the bumper and have definitely crunched a snow drift or two here in WV. I've had no issues and adding auxiliary back up lights is still one of the favorite mods I've done to the truck.

i left them on my 2013 up until this month and traded for a 2015... I never had 1 single issue.. I live in Texas, so we don't get Snow, Ice like your northerners, but I wouldn't have any concerns mounting to the shackle.

Name brands like Rigid & Baja Designs are designed to last a lifetime. In the off chance you have any issues, they are covered under warranty

For some of you out there that needs pics and ideas, cut holes in bumper and painted them, then mounted those badass Rigid SR-Q flush and let me tell you!! Its pretty insane! Connected them on a custom rocker switch and voila!!! The picture is during night, backup lights reflecting on my garage door!!!
