Navy, not sure. Haven't had my switches apart yet.

Brian, I'm not sure about the Supercrew but with mine I just yanked it down really hard and the clips released. You may have a rail mount? I think that's what they are called anyway...I would try using the forum's search function and searching for removal of rail mount overhead console.

I just want to say: this is an awesome thread. For years I've hated the factory alien green interior illumination of my 06 FX4 Scab and wanted to change it. When the irriration with it would occasionally get to be too much, I would look online for a kit with no luck.

Then I found this forum, and this thread in particular, about 2 weeks ago. After reading the information here, I was sold. I ordered my LEDs and was giddy with anticipation waiting for them to arrive.

All my LEDS came in this past Friday, and as of today, after about 30 hours of work, I am the proud owner of an all blue interior illumination Scab.

A special thanks to AJRogers and FOMOCO. The information and details you have provided is phenomenal and I found myself coming back here time and again while working on this thing over the past 2 days..

FOMOCO - Your pics of the blue interior are what sold me on going with blue for mine, too. How much will you charge to make me a set of those blue needles I saw in your pics? Those things are sweet!

I get everything I can from Oznium.com, they don't have automotive bulb replacements though (at the moment). So I buy those at superbrightleds.com or eBay, and I shy away from overseas sellers on eBay because of the issue you are having with the wait.

I've uploaded some pics to my albums. Here's a taste:

As for tips:
  1. Make sure you order enough LEDs. I figured 50 LEDS, in addition to the #74 wedge LED bulbs for the cluster, would be enough, but it turns out I needed 57 for my Scab. Count each switch pictogram that is illuminated to get a better idea of how many you'll need. Luckily, I could desolder some extra LED bulbs I ordered to get the needed number of LEDs.
  2. Practice, Practice, Practice! Raid a junkyard to get some replacement/practice/in-a-pinch switches. I only broke one switch housing, and luckily not enough to render it unusable. However, I'll be making a trip to a junkyard and scavenging as many switches as I can to have some spares for the friends I'm gonna end up doing this for.
I recommend Oznium.com or SuperbrightLEDs.com. I never ordered LEDs before, but both sources got the LEDs to me in no time. I ordered some of the PLCC-2 from ebay, and got those in 2 days.

Thanks, AJRogers. I had a ton of fun doing this.

Next up: I'm going to do something in the footwells under the dash. I saw some pictures somewhere of what someone did in this area and I think it looks pretty cool.
