Default great tutorial

Great tutorial Experties. Saved both time and money by simply following your instruction. Not a real gear-head and I was finished in under an hour. Nice work. Thanks.

Thank you so much for this thread. My window got stuck down lastnight coming home in a downpour, I managed to get it up inch by inch, only took an hour. I was just getting ready to order a new switch from the dealership when i decided to look on here first and found this. Just took it apart sanded them a bit and it works good as new now.. Thanks again this site is invaluable.

Thanks. I've been putting this off because I was afraid of what I might find but the ease of process and good feedback got me out to do it.

Thumbs up How to clean your window switch contacts

Your instructions were absolutely perfect. When the driver's window would not go up (only would go down) I researched the possible causes and came upon your posting. It took me a couple of times to clean the contacts correctly (as I have to take apart the driver's door and that was somewhat different than your photos), but after the second time doing it, it worked like a champ; nice up and nice down. This saved me probably between $50 and $100 bucks or more. Thanks for the nice detailed instructions and photos.

BTW, this is my first time to this forum and I've got this sneaky suspicion that I'll be back. My 2004 F150 Supercrew Lariat has over 80K and since new it have been OK, but had to replace 3 of the window regulators (windows fell) and all the brake rotors (warped), but no other major problems... knock on wood! I wounder what will go next???
