How to Fold Down A Super Crew Backseat

I like the paint idea! I'll have to do that. I'm always guessing where it needs to be so the seat locks back. I too went with the zip tie route. Tried drilling, but my drill wimped out, and it was a disaster. I tried the zip tie in desperation and it worked out better than I expected!

Just did this with drilling holes in the little handles. From there, I put a small zip tie in it along with a paracord, which has a key ring on the other end. Great mod and about the first one I've done to my 2011 SCrew.

Here's mine (2010 Lariat).
My drill bit kept slipping off the little post that sticks out the side, so I drilled down through the metal covering the tip, and hooked a 1/16 cable through the latch where the spring connects:
The other end (nice of Ford to put that little lip on the front of the headrest to hide all this):
There's quite a bit of room back there. I stowed away a tool box, rain gear, light sticks, flares, and a first aid kit:
Thanks guys! But for this thread, I wouldn't have even known the seats fold down!

Enough already that this rear back seat in the driver side can be folded down. Just to see somethings what is in there.....
No string attached to the headrest, I don't use it as my storage or something else.

Very useful thread. Unfortunately the area behind my seat is filled with
a subwuffer and an amplifier? Looks like a DuHa is in my future.
