OK A silly little question here. What do you guys put behind the seat? I got into this thread tonight and then went out to my truck and in a few minutes I had me seat back laying down. Now upon inspection I found that with the seat bottom in the up position there is about a 3 inch space between the bottom edge of the seat cushion and space under/behind the cushion that you can easily reach up behind the seat back. If you never put the seat bottom up then this is good as the area behind the back rest is not accessable, but with the seat bottom up it is easily accessed.

Now that being said I did come up with a mod of my own that cost only pennies and took about 2 minutes to do with out drilling holes or any dismantleing. Oh Well.

What can you put on the top of flat folded seats that you can't on the floor? There is more space if you fold seat bottoms up as intended by the manufacturer...dont you think

A powered subwoofer fits nicely.

On mine, there are little paint marks on the brackets attached to the back wall - dot's actually - that look like they were applied at the factory. When I line the bar up with those marks, it latches perfectly each time.

Had no idea this was an option, thanks to all for posting the ideas, I used 12 gauge wire around the pin and put a spare key ring around the pull end. Fabulous place for extra crap I carry but will hopefully never use...
For those having trouble getting a re-latch, try pulling on the pin as you smack the seat back in place, works every time.

New to this forum. Just bought a 2010 f 150 super crew. I folded up the back seat fine. When I put the seat back down it does not lock in the down position. Is it not suposed to?
