Default How to Fold Down A Super Crew Backseat

To Fold Down a Super Crew Backseat

1. Fold up the lower portion of the seat. (This moves the seatback forward a little, to get your hand between the seat back and the truck wall)

2. With your left hand palm facing toward the back of the truck and thumb down, slide your hand between the backseat and the real wall.

3. Use your thumb to lift up on the lock lever. (See photo)

4. You can also use the round end of a box wrench, instead of your thumb, to lift the lever.

This is useless imo. I folded them to find not hardly enough room to store anything but good if mounting an amp or something else where you needed to be behind there. also locking the seats back in place was a pain in the *** too. had to retie the string so when i folded it back up i could pull it to reattach the pin and lock them in place. don't see why we cant just get a side lever like in the past.

I used a hybrid way of doing it. Instead of putting hole through the cloth like some say, I used a piece of paracord about 18" long and tied a noose on one end and a keyring (split-ring) on the other. Connected the noose to the latch and tightened it down and removed the headrest and put the headrest support through the keyring and re-installed the headrest. Works like a charm and doesn't fall, always in reach.

Just thought I'd share.
