Took me a few tries. A lot in fact, I gave up on the drivers side, went to passenger side and got it on the first try. My seat covers ( covering) were loose fitting and looked like crap so I sent them back. I ordered Wet Okole for the back and spent the extra bucks. I am using tie wraps to hold the clips for easy removal when my new sear covers arrive. Thanks-

Thank you for this instructional set.

I had the very same problem this author experienced, trying to reach around the back seat is nearly impossible and not successful, the screwdriver technique is the answer and like the author it only took me 10 minutes.

I was trying with a 10" flat head for well over 30 mins then decided to switch to a shorter shaft and that did the trick, had the seat up and off in 5 mins. Thanks for the insight

Wow. With out this thread....I would still be trying to get my back seat out. The trick is to use a 6" common (flat) screwdriver and aim for the middle of the outside car seat anchors and press towards the ceiling. Now I can get into my truck using the keypad. I did call the dealer for the code and they said the same thing as mentioned in this thread earlier. $40 bucks and they will get it for me. Real life saver. Thanks. So glad I joined this forum.

Yes it is my understanding that this is the same type procedure to remove a 2012 SuperCab rear seat.

Here is a link to the other site on the process:

Enjoy! (If you didn't know already...this is a big P.I.T.A. to do)

FYI I was able to pop the rear seat off by sliding my hands behind the seat and pushing the clips in. It was pretty easy after you knew where the clips were. However, it is a tight squeeze.
