Outstanding writeup!
I spent at least and hour earlier today, then another 45min this evening trying to get my arm behind the seat trying to get the backrest out for the keyless entry number and was just about to remove the lower seat to see if I could get in that way when I found this thread - I read the writeup a couple of times and had the backrest out, found the code and reinstalled in less than 25 minutes!!

December 2009 TOTM!
I thought I posted on here before.. but I used a few other "how to's" on removing the back seat that did not help when removing my buddies backseat in his 05' FX4 to get the keypad code. But this write up and the picture helps a TON.
Great write-up!

Thanks for the write-up, just got my keypad code. I was confused at first, spent 15-20 minutes just trying to find where to put the screwdriver but once I figured it out it was a piece of cake. I took a couple pics of the latches and where the screwdriver goes that I think will help out anyone else reading this. I'll post them up later tonight, and whoever started this thread feel free to copy them/move them up to the first post so they can be seen by others.
I love the internet.

Can anyone shed some light on how to get the rear seatback off the 2010 SCREW? I located the clips near the tops of the seatback but can't figure out how to unlatch them. I'm removing the whole backseat and these clips have my project held up.
