Navigate to top of this page. Type in search box, " where is pcv on 5.4L." Pictures and explanations are on threads.

Is it safe to clean a PCV valve if it is heated electrically? The Ford part number is 6A666 (EV-279)

If so, what type of cleaners would you suggest?

Yes I do "realize" it's an old thread.I don't care. I've looked around on here for the best thread for my question and this one is perfect.

My ride is indeed an 04 f150 xl with 223k miles.I've had an oil leak that even blue devil can't even compare to stop.We "think" the pcv valve pressure is building up,or bad, therefore blowing oil right out the rear,or front, seals? There's no drippings under neath the engine anywhere from what we've seen and we've used cardboard.

After lifting the hood, the right side pcv valve is "hollow",but the right side is not.We cleaned the left side.It does have a ball bearing in it.

The million dollar question: Is the right side pcv valve supposed to be completely hollow? because it sure is! I should have token a photo of it.
