my e-fan install
I finally decided to go to a e-fan set up.I had a set of 16 inch fans already. They were a extra set for my 98 Ford Windstar. It had the 3.8 v6.The only thing I didn't have was the wiring loom for the fans. And that was 6 bucks at the local salvage yard. The 3.8 ford fan fans take up all the room on the radiator. So was just making one bracket, and was all done.Took me longer to get the clutch fan off than making the bracket.
Now I'll i need to do is take it for a test drive. And I used the controler from autozone. So under 30 bucks..keeping fingers crossed and see how it goes.

well alls well so far.I've noticed few things so far.Engine is alot quiter when driving, and at idle.Ac blows super cold. And so far my temp seems to be holding where it normally does.I am not seeing the quicker throttle response so hope it gets better gas milage.
It's hot here in Kansas City today,Going to top out around a 100 with high humidity. The only thing I don't like about the temp. controler is there are not any increments. And I don't have one of those handy dandy temp gauges,so using a cooking thermometer and the trucks temp gauge to dial it in.

Things still working well? I'm looking at this controller for my Taurus Fans.

Ford/Mazda Parts guy
I think I am gonna use the fans from a 97 Windstar for my 1990 F150 w/4.9l and A/C. What Autozone controller did you guys use? I emailed dcc on their controller and have not heard anything back from them

Man, every time I see this thread on the home page (when I scroll down towards the "off-topic" section), I keep thinking it says, "my effin' write up ..." Hahaha. It was driving me crazy, so I had to say something.
