Okay guys, I'm working on it as we speak. Took me an hour to get all the COPs off. Passenger side is easier than the driver side, as the driver side has a bunch of s**t in the way when removing the COPs. Just taking my time with it. At the moment I'm letting the carb cleaner soak through. Hope things go well, all the plugs are ready for removal. Got the Lisle tool too...

I did my plugs at just over 100k because the cops began to fail. I read up on all the posts on how to take the plugs out. I simply used carb cleanner and a lot of patience. I worked the plug back and forth until they came out. Believe me at 100K+ they were squeaking like they were going to break. I just kept at it and did not break one plug. But my COPs keep breaking.
2 cops and plugs replaced under warranty
8 replaced after warranty by me because some more went bad.
4 months later I'm getting another misfire but no check engine light.
(misfire only happens when transmision shifts to overdrive)

I have broken 3 of them in. They broke with the threading of the spark plug still inside the cylinder.
Tried to put in the lisle tool but it has nothing to grab into so it is just turning in the hole.
HELP !!!
What is my options ?

Thanks for the very detailed info on this procedure (including the room for cold beverages), and for all the other follow up responses! I will be doing this procedure soon and now feel much better prepared! I'll chime in how it goes.

debating tackling myself vs. shop
shop wants $182 if none break (thats me providing the plugs which I already bought), and they said if plug(s) break they will clock in and clock back out for the extraction time at $75/hr. I'm guessing 4 will break and about 2 hours extraction time to be fair so about $330 and its out of my hands. I already bought the lisle tool which i can return so no loss there.... Hmmmm decisions

Dude ! just tackle it !after its all done, you will get a good sense of accomplishment and you are going to save yourself some cash, the instructions could not be any more clear, it is really not that bad and you already have the lisle tool in case you need it. GO FOR IT !!!
