Welp I finished it up tonight and got through it without a broken plug WAHHOOO!!!! your write up helped me ALOT and got me prepared for it so again thank you because it helped me. Well guys I have the tool for sale if anyone needs it? It's been thru 2 owners now that I know of and they didn't have to use it so maybe it's a good luck charm lol. Thanks again!

yes this write up helped me a ton. did your method exactly. got all 8 out with no breakage. broke em loose with a wratchet, 3 squirts of pb blaster and 3 squirts of carb cleaner. onlything i would do is add more pb and carb cleaner.

As crazy as it may sound the easiest way to take the plugs out without breaking them is a 3/8 inch drive impact on a low setting the jarring will break the carbon loose and they will come right out just remember to put anti-seize on the new plugs and your good to go

I did this last week and I got 7 of 8 out.
I had to use the Lisle tool but thankfully it was on one of the forward plugs so it was easier to get at.
The tool is simple to use so don't fret if you have to pull it out

Good post. Just swapped mine out this weekend. Broke 5, Lisle tool is a great item to have

I'm going to do mine this morning after I take my youngest son to school and stop by O'Reilly's for some carb cleaner and Circle K for a Pepsi. Wish me luck.
