The 11 ta 12 already have the gotts mod design into the fender well. You can make a fist and stick it in the fender well through it. I would change the tube. Making an air tube bend squarer by removing the internal elbow, doesn't make air flow faster or in a higher volumn thru it. It just makes more noise/turbulence. The motor doesn't use over 500 cfm.

I did this mod today and there is a triangle-ish hole left in the box. Since there is only about 1 to 1-1/2 inches between the opening and the rubber flashing on the inside of the fender, I figured it was best to leave it open instead of trying to fabricate a tube to match the oblong shape. Thoughts?

I'm also contemplating using some weather stripping around the outside of the opening so it "seals" to the fender. Maybe that's overkill since the flashing is flexible. thoughts? Also, is it worth cutting away some of the rubber flashing to match to shape of the triangle opening? Looking for anyone's opinion on this one!

Did it as well. Just came back from test drive & noticed a huge difference at low and high RPM. Great Mod. Pics of my setup. Love the whistling sound it make when it get revved up.
