Here's a video of what is happening.

At the beginning you can hear it and it stops when I put it in 4hi then back to 2wd. Then it does it again when I hit the speed bump.

Yours definitely sounds louder, could be for a few reasons... your window was down and there were cars on side of you to eco the sound back. Possibly, when I hit bumps I lost all vaccume in my IWE and that allowed the half shaft to fully engage, you may only be losing some vaccume causing partial contact inside the IWE. You may not be able to see the crack on the IWE without taking it apart... the crack on mine was inside

Ok I looked at them and didn't see anything on the outside. Sounds like Monday I will be pulling them off.

My 2004 was doing this. I had to replace the wheel bearing assembly.

Sometimes the added lift height can require longer vacuum lines...

be carefull taking apart the wheel bearings and what not, the actuators that lock the 4wd can be damaged. I changed a wheel bearing on my f150 and it did the same noise afterwards, the 4wd locking unit cracked internally and it was trying to engage. i got mine for pretty cheap from ford but it was dealer cost. not sure what the CP price is. check all vacuum lines. if the vacuum lines are good and your check valves are working then i would suggest jacking the truck up and putting manual vacuum to the actuators and see if they release or not.

Glad I found this post! I need some help still. I've had my truck at the dealership about 4 times now for this issue. First time they didn't find anything wrong, Second time they heard it diagnosed it and replaced both IWE's and something about a cover not holding vacuum. Picked it up and noise was gone for almost a week after I heard it a lot the weekend before they worked on it. The Friday after I picked it up, it made the noise again. Dropped it off again and it wouldn't make the noise while they had it. My girlfriend picked it up and it made the noise again but she said it was only for about a minute. A day or two later it did it again while I was driving. Brought it back to Ford again and they can't get it to make the noise again. When it's making the noise, if you shift it to 4x4 it stops immediately. They can't seem to find anything else wrong yet the noise is still there from time to time. Anything else it might be they're overlooking? Thanks for your help.

Have you done any suspension work to the truck? (I.e. leveled it)
