Custom E-Fan Installation
Now I'm not a genius about this and correct me if I'm wrong. I think this is a cool mod and I'm not hating but if switching to an e fan frees up engine power because the engine is not turning a stock fan .... Doesn't it put more stress on your alternator which is turned by your engine. Therefore making it kind of worthless. Idk if turning 2 e fans would really draw that much power to account for the added stress on the alternator. What do u guys think
Take a look, using electric fans from junk yards.

your right in theory but like already said, the amprage draw is very low. the extra drag on the alt comes no where near that of the mechanical fan. for me, difference is even great because i run a dcc to control my fan. it comes on at 170* but not at full speed. it slowly ramps up speed so that when the truck hits 190*, the fans are only at 50% their top speed. if the truck gets hotter, the fans will speed up.
Mark 8. Went in and fit almost perfect. Attached with 4 bolts and locking nuts. This is an upgrade from a previous electric fan setup that will go on my son's truck. This allows the fan to pull air from all the radiator and not touch the fins.
