Very few of our project vehicles have gone untouched by the guys and gals over at BBK Performance, and one of our first must-have modifications for our 2012 F150 5.0L FX4 Project Truck was BBK's awesome 85mm Power Plus Throttle Body. The stock throttle body is pretty small and restrictive, and it bottlenecks the gains your F150 5.0L can make from intake upgrades and tuning. BBK's 85mm F150 throttle body dropped right into place of our stock unit, and gave us the exact gains in both power and drivability that we were looking for.
A Stage 3 Motorsports install just wouldn't be a Stage 3 install if we didn't head down to Extreme Performance out in Goodyear, Arizona, to get a hand from Marty, Kris, and whoever else wanted to join in on the fun.
After getting the truck settled in and the hood popped open, our first step was to disconnect the intake inlet tube from the throttle body by loosening its band clamp. We actually had the aFe Stage 2 cold air intake on our truck already from a previous install and testing.
You should be able to just move the inlet tubing aside to get enough room to reach all the throttle body bolts. If you're planning on dropping in a cold air intake in conjunction with your throttle body install, then completely removing the stock intake would be your best bet. Anyway, after the inlet tube is out of the way, disconnect the throttle body's wiring harness and unbolt the whole unit from your truck's manifold.
Now you should be able to pull the stock throttle body out of your truck and drop the BBK 85mm throttle in. Just make sure to leave the stock gasket!
Once the BBK Throttle Body is in place, connect the wiring harness to its OE-style plug.
Then use BBK's supplied bolts to secure the throttle body to the manifold.
And that's it. BBK's throttle body is one of the easiest, and most effective, performance upgrades you can make to your truck.

I read the 73mm throttle body fits 3.7 3.7 & 5.0 does the 85mm or 90mm fit the 3.5 ecoboost also? I am looking at buying one and would prefer to get biggest available
