Anyone looking to do this, it is super easy, only took me about 10 minutes. Cut the seam of the lens and housing with a dremel, or even a hack saw would do. Pull out the bulb and reflector, put new bulb in, put back in truck to aim the bulb, pull it back out and epoxy the lens back on.
Annnndddd, my drivers puddle light is out.... might just be loose in the bulb connector, because it is on but dim. Just sucks I now have to cut it open again.
Do all our trucks come with the wiring for the puddle lights already ran or have you guys had to do all that?
Any answers? I don't have lights in my mirrors, but if there's already wires & power in the door for this I'm all over it! ….
Do you have a plastic cap on the underside of the mirror where the puddle lights would have been? If so, wouldn't take long to pop it off and check for wires.

Yep KP there's a circle cutout with a cap in it. Not clear how that cap comes out, has anybody pried one out?
i updated my puddle lights from the 4 LED to the 360* 24 LED festoon bulb. I wanted to use the reflector to spread more light. before it was not using the reflector, the ones i got are 170 lumens vs 70 lumens with the one i got from superbrightleds.com.
old 4 LED vs new 24 LED 360* bulb. much brighter!
Just got mine in today and these things are bright. Did a test before I sealed them up. Waiting on the silicone to dry now.
