Most definetly not. Your oven should be fine, keep in mind you can put you own twist on things. I did mine at 220 for 10 minutes and it worked well. Its alot of trial and error, your going to run into problems. Just be patient, take your time and it will turn out great. The original sealant is a pita to get off, but make sure you get it all out or it wont reseal right.
Going to revive this thread for a little info. Will I have any issues if I paint my turn signal bowl? I dont think I will other than making them a little dimmer. Oh btw I'm planning on painting them gloss black, if that helps at all. Thanks in advance yall!

I would think it would make it look like a single Xmas light on a house...that bowl is made to project the light and spread it so it can be seen...
I painted mine yesterday and i think ford spulrged on the sealant for my headlights it was a disaster. Best think i can say is dont be affraid of the oven heat them a full 10 min and dont be afraid to pry...give em hell...the second one def comes apart easier the first :-D
heat gun helps once you get it all heated i don't think you can get it all heated up enough with just the gun to get it apart it will cool in the other parts as you go around....dont be scared just make sure you take all the screws out and 250 for 15-20 worked for me I then had to put it back in for a few more minutes then it comes right apart. Painting the bowls works best if you insert projectors but if you keep the stock bulbs it will not look right at night...
