Those white spots are likely calcium in your water...the same stuff that builds up on coffee makers, sink faucets, etc. The first thing that helps is to not wash your car in the sun. Something like a dampened cloth with CLR on it should remove it. As will immediately drying your glass after washing it. And, Rain-X Spot Free does the best job of all. These spots are a problem on black or dark painted cars. Black STI, Black F-150. Rain-X to the rescue, it leaves no white spots even in the sun. I wash the exterior windows on my house with it also for the same reason. On the other hand I am looking for advice on the best interior glass cleaner you guys have found. Pilkington Auto Glass does a pretty good job followed by Zep. Most stuff doesn't really clean well in my opinion...interior of a windshield for example. 1917

I use #0000 steel wool to polish glass and chrome. No chemicals and it works fantastic.
