Default How to install Tow Mirrors:2004-2008

Got my tow mirrors from Tasca Ford. Install is very easy...only took about 20 mins/side.

Start out by removing the 2 screws at the bottom of the door panel.

Pop the rectangular cover on the door handle off. This exposes the 2 screws, remove them, then remove the handle unit.

Pop the cover with the window/lock controls off. Disconnect the harnesses.

Remove the one screw here

Pop the speaker cover off.

Remove the 4 speaker screws

Disconnect the harness to the speaker

Take this rubber thing off and pull the 2 plastic tabs off

The panel is ready to be removed. Pull up on it to do this.

Now remove the 3 nuts from the mirror bolts.

Disconnect the harness. The mirror isready to be removed. It just pulls off

Installed on passenger side vs standard mirrors.

nice writeup
is there anything you need to do to prevent water from getting in between the mirror/door? does it just seal up using the screws?

Nothing you have to do; there's a foam 'gasket' on the mounting surface of the mirrors.
