In the leveling FAQ, it's stated that the more you level the front, the more wear and tear on the ball joints, etc., because of the change in angle. My question is this: if you use AAL to raise the back end up two or three inches, will that compensate for the added stress of a two or three inch level?

In what way are you needing help? As in more payload, or are they just sagging?

An add-a-leaf should help a significant amount. It also could be the rear shocks. How old is the truck?

You won't mess anything up. It's pretty straight forward once you get down there and look at it. You'll want to invest in at least one jack and two jack stands. Cheap at Autozone and work great! I actually got them as a package. 3-ton jack and 2x 6-ton jack stands.

I really recommend air tools though and you can get some cheap reliable ones. I bought a Campbell Hausfeld brand 15 gallon air compressor at Walmart for like $200 about 7 yrs ago if I remember right, and used it to build my hangar and bought a $40 Campbell Hausfeld brand impact wrench last year at Walmart that has done all the work on my truck and an 8" lift on a Chevy 2500HD. And they have all lasted and still work great.

The air compressor will be the most expensive but I would rather pay $300 for tools that I can use the rest of my life than pay someone nearly a $1000 to install a lift kit! They will pay themselves off the first use. AAL's wouldn't be expensive to have someone install but I would still rather have the tools I can use for other projects and open doors to do other things with my truck.
