Have someone clay bar the truck then polish it, those specks are from brake dust off the trains and/o transports.

I just did my engine bay because it was a mess (the previous owner was not big on cleaning) and I used 50% greased lightning and 50% water in a pump sprayer. After a good wash hose down and dry (avoid the computer and air intake) I then used Adams polish Super VRT. Only took about 45 mins and it looks great I think.

I bought a product called iron-x. Haven't used it yet but apparently works great. And simple to use. Spray it on, let it sit a few minutes and proceed as normal with your washing

I did mine about 2 month's ago, but the winter salt has it looking bad right now. I wanted to get the paint prepped for winter so spring time i should be able to get it back to looking good with out to much work.

I am a firm believer in white vehicles as they show less imperfection as I am a lazy cleaner!

I also am a motorcycle rider who lives in the country. We have bugs that can knock you off the bike out there! One trick some old timers gave me on removing bugs was hydrogen peroxide. Buy large bottles at Walmart and put it in spray bottles. Spray the bugs liberally and let set a couple minuets. Most will start to bubble (like on a open wound) right away and you can either hose or wipe off. I have used this trick for years especially on my windscreen as I am always worried about scratching it or swirling it. It has never effected paint of chrome on bikes othe the vehicles.
