If it clears up and looks good after doing it, but turns yellow again shortly after, you could try putting a few light coats of clear on the headlights. Do this after the "cleaning" process. I ended up putting a light touch of clear on the Camry's headlights and they are still looking clear.
I thought about that, but was worried that the heat from the lights would bake the clear and eventually turn it yellow too. I need to just spend the money and get a clear headlamp set for the truck, it deserves it anyways...

I think thats the best condition I have ever seen that generation Camry's lights look... even BEFORE the repair job. Those cars were HORRID for that clouding.
Props to you man. I wanna try this on my wife's 6 but its not cloudy, its mostly little tiny rock chips.

Similar to high-temp paints (headers, BBQ,etc).....they make a high-temp clear. (Although I don't think the temperature from the headlights would be enough to ruin the clear....I could be wrong.)

Thank you!
Edit: I also wanted to mention again to all you guys that don't have these materials available - you can do this with the headlight restoration kits they sell in Wal-Mart and auto parts stores. Just make sure that the kit includes a sanding disc, as sanding is the key step to removing the hazing.
i have a pair of headlights off my truck that once i replaced mine with halos, i put in the back of my truck, they slid around and have a bunch of scratches on them. would this work on them?
you cant really tell in the pics cuz its from my phone but there is also water in them, any idea how to get it out? plus a couple of leaves, im looking to sell them, and I dont think anyone will buy them will leaves in them.
There's a multitude of products to protect plastic since most everything is plastic. You can also use a quality liquid or paste wax.
