Would you buy the 5.0 again?

Inebriated 4 ur safety
High end torque is 30-50ft lbs difference, but low end is more around 80-120 ft lbs.
My personal vehicle is an EB, but I drive a 5.0 for work. The sound of the 5.0 is intoxicating. I hated the no sounding EB until I got the Airraid. Now I hear the turbos a lot more. I love both engines.

+1 on both points.
I drove two Ecoboost F-150s before driving a 5.0. I didn't care for the apparent acceleration lag on the Ecoboost, but it was very smooth and powerful. But the sound of the 5.0 won me over. I don't have a trailer to tow and don't plan on ever having one. If I did have a trailer, the torque of the Ecoboost would probably sway my decision in that direction. Since I don't buy trucks very often, I figured this might be my last chance to buy a full-size truck with a V-8 before the fuel economy regulations kill them off.

That's a add, the PUT.C dyno shows a tie up to 1700 rpm where the truck lives in everyday driving if you are after MPG. My truck shifts at 1700-1900 rpm working it with a 3000 lb trailer. What am I giving up ? The MPG penalty of owing a EB and towing

Good comparison and why you would choose one over the other.

I would not hesitate to buy it again, but I got my truck a couple months before the ecoboost was out. I would have to test drive them both again. I would love the torque, but would want to see if the turbo lag is sig enough to make me stick with the 5.0. I am considering getting a tune just to improve throttle response. Power isn't an issue with this truck, but I hate the short delay from when I gas it to when it goes.

Can a dealer tell if you change the tune on a truck when you take it in for service if you put the stock tune back before taking it in?
I heard about some dealers not doing warranty work because of custom tunes...

They can only void a warranty if the mod proves to have caused damage. There some "act" that states that.
There are many posts on this so a search may yield more information.
Some say that the new Fords can keep track of mods to the tunes - I'm still not 100% sure they can.
