Would you buy the 5.0 again?
Just wondering if anyone.that bought the 5.0 if they regretted their decision or not and if they would get that same engine again or if they would get a dofferent engine and why.

To answer the question, yes I would. I like the 5.0. I did not try the ecoboost but I have heard a lot of positive comments both on here, and from owners I know in person about the ecoboost. I just preferred the 5.0 becuase I have always liked the sound of a V8 vs V6, especially when the time comes to accelerate heaviley to pass someone, or when coming down the offramp to get onto the interstate.LOL!

I needed a vehicle with lots of power and good acceleration but I don't tow anything... So, a 3.7 L is too small, 6.2 L is too big, and I couldn't get Ecoboost in an XL with a regular cab and 6.5' bed. 5.0 L is perfect, or it will be after I swap the stock 3.31 gears to 3.73 and add the SCT tune.

I would not hesitate to buy it again, but I got my truck a couple months before the ecoboost was out. I would have to test drive them both again. I would love the torque, but would want to see if the turbo lag is sig enough to make me stick with the 5.0. I am considering getting a tune just to improve throttle response. Power isn't an issue with this truck, but I hate the short delay from when I gas it to when it goes.

I had a 2010 with the 5.4L, which I liked. I then test drove the 3.7, 3.5 EB, and 5.0. I picked the 5.0, and traded for a 2011 5.0 and I love it. I'd to it again. I just love V8's.
