Wish I hadn't washed the truck today!!!!
So I'm giving the truck a good old wash this morning and everything is going great, right until I get to the front bumper!! I'm washing around that nice big hole for the intercooler and what catches my eye, A BIG fuing dent right in the middle of the cooler!!!!
I am Pied with myself, the first thing I said when I picked the truck up from the dealer was "I must get a guard for that intercooler"!!!
I'm not going to be happy until I can pressure test it at work tomorrow and find out if its OK.
This could be expensive if its split!!!

That sucks. But it may not be as costly as you think.I was surprised to see that the intercooler was reasonably cheap.

$228 is actually a really good price for the intercooler I was sure it would be $500+.
Of course it would of been cheaper to spend $100 and get the bumper grill to protect the intercooler!!
Anyway I'll pressure test it tomorrow at work and see if its OK.

I will say, for as much thought ford put into the ecoboost - NOT having an intercooler guard was a major oversight from the engineers. I cannot figure out why there is not one from the factory - it makes no sense.
It's not a performance car, it's a truck that will go through mud, brush, dirt roads, etc...
