Why does Ford still use the 5.4 in the Expedition?

Because it would take people away from Superduty's who just want a diesel who wouldn't otherwise use the truck to its full potential.
I'm sure when Nissan releases the Cummins powered Titan it will put the pressure on Ford to possibly make the 3.2 Powerstroke an option.
Ford will probably keep the Expedition for at least one more body style change, and if they're smart they'll use the 5.0 and Eco between the framerails.
I'm not sure if it was noted in an earlier post but the 4.6, 5.4, and the 6.8 V10 are still available in the E series (which are about to be completely fazed out by the Transit and Transit Connect) and certain Chassis cab configurations.

Something tells me the eco boost will hold it own against the cummins titan. I dont think an 8 cylinder v design cummins in the titan will not live up to its hype. When you change the proven formula sometimes you lose the magic. But who knows, i think a diesel expedition and f150 would be cool i guess. Expedition is long over due for an overhaul

300+hp, mid-500's tq. a tuned EB might hold it's own...could be a while before the Nissan sees a tune, it usually takes a while for tuners to crack Nissan's encryption.

Not sure what you are trying to say with the double negative...
