Thumbs down The whole rear window?!

that was my response when my dealership told me that i needed to replace my whole back window, because the rear defroster was not working! At first they said it was just the switch. Turns out its something with the window! Truck has 4000 miles on it and i cant believe that happened! Thank goodness for my warranty!!

I'm going to check mine out as soon as possible. I just got my truck on Tuesday but I could see where the window could be problematic. The contacts must be of a friction type.

I had a dealer want to cut the top of my truck off once (2010 F150 Supercrew, moon roof rattled), I told them they weren't going to do that while I had the truck, they could do whatever they wanted to if it they buy it back.

I traded it.

But the rear window replacement is pretty straight forward, and nothing that the Ford techs can't handle.

Shouldn't really be an issue. Think how many vehicles have had moving rear windows for years and have had the same type of contact.

I have had to use my defrost lately, and it is very poor on the read window. I would expect a brand new vehicle to clear the condensation within a minute or so, but this takes quite some time compared to my car.

Its "2011+ engines"

and what i get from that is F150s that have the new 2011 engines in them i.e (3.7 ,3.5 ECO, 5.0, and 6.2) Which mine has the 2011+ engine in it the 5.0

So I believe I meet all the requirement to post here!

So If you dont have any real input either post somewhere else or dont post at all..its that simple.

Thanks for showing your maturity though!

I was thinking the same thing because there sure have been a lot of non-engine threads started in the engine thread.
