The ecoboost motor is 10.0:1 compression

I would like to see a 14:1 compression motor run on pump gas. You'd be lucky if it started!

I'd like to see a gas engine run on 14lbs of boost and 12:1 compression on pump gas in general and live a long life. These aren't diesels.

I ran a can of seafoam in with a fill up around 15K. Mileage went up for a bit after that and then back to normal. I did not put this directly in the vacuum line. One can of seafoam poured in gas tank and then filled up with ~35 gallons of fuel. Haven't done it again since, but part of the reason I did it was because I hadn't always filled up at top tier gas stations.

My old Ford it made a difference, but that I ran via the vacuum line.

I have used seafoam in 5 diesels and about 10 gas engins in both fuel and oil. I would no do the vacume line.

All 9 have had noticeable and great results from the seafoam cleaning out the oil system and fuel system.

With your ecoboost I am guessig it is in low miles and not needed. If you properly maintan the vehicle and dont drive the ***** out of it. Seafoam in the engine is not neccessary yet for your young engine.
I do not see a problem putting in some in the fuel from time to time to combat the evil new fuels we run now.
Seafoam works according to my results, but I would not over do it because it works well.

For the oil I personaly put in 1oz for every gallon, and run it for 100 miles before I change the oil. I dont do this often. Probably once every 30,000 miles.

Well she is soaking right now. I bought a large can, 1/2 in the gas tank, about an oz in the oil and poured the rest through a vacuum line right behind the throttle body. She started smoking pretty good right off the bat. Everytime I have done it you dump it in the vacuum line at the end fast enough to either kill the motor or shut it off immediately. It wasn't going to die but when I took my thumb off the vacuum line the sudden vacuum drop killed the motor, PERFECT!

With the pcv circulating back through the intake, I'd imagine it'll clean a bunch of stuff out.

Well I let it sit about 10-15 minutes, typically I would let them sit up to an hour but I want to have a couple beers so I was itching to get done.

HOLY SMOKE! She smoked big on start up, so bad that by the time I backed out of the garage the garage was full of smoke. I then proceeded to back into the street, put it in 4WD (we got a bunch of snow today) and hammer down. Even though it was dark out with the street lights she smoked for a couple blocks really good. I did a couple WOT blasts on the highway to clean it the rest of the way out. Will report back in a few days with anything that changes. I have 46,000 miles on mine so it has a few miles on it.

PS My garage stinks to high heaven now

This is my preferred method too. Anxious to hear your results. Plan on doing mine and an oil change next week before we leave on our trip to Disney.

Be sure to check your plugs. Every time I do this it ends up trashing the plugs.
