Slow down, take off the level and use stock size tires. Ethanol "free" gas is preferable, I get 2 mpg less on 10% Etoh. And it runs like crap.

Thanks everyone, I'll try slowing down first. haha......maybe. I looking at taking the $500 I had an putting it toward a tuner. Instead I ended up buying a Glock 17 Gen 3 for $479. It's not something I plan on having as my CCW but I thought it was a good deal.

Thanks for all the input.

I do best with mine if i keep it under 2000 rpm, both accelerating and on the freeway.

Hard to beat a G17, but not a ccw gun lol. Try the G26 or what I ccw S&W Shield, great little gun.

Why not carry a G17? I do with 2 extra mags and E2D on my belt. I've carried my USP Tactical with 2 extra mags before, but my waist size was a little smaller.

Don't go heavy on the pedal and remove unnecessary weight as pictured below.

Not to be rude but if your concerned about gas mileage put your truck back to stock, no turner or cai is going to increase your mpgs by very much.

1) Buy a block of wood and stick under gas pedal
2) lower truck
3) find the tires with lowest rolling resistant and lowest weight
4) pure gas
5) leave off everything, don't turn on anything electrical, or use AC. Less load on the alternator and battery will save fuel.
6) get rid of any extra weight, maybe go on a diet?
7) realize if you really cared about mpg you would have bought a fiesta, and just enjoy the truck.

Just realized you want need a reason to explain the mods to your wife, I am guessing...

Look honey the bigger turbos spin slower making it more fuel efficient, it will save us money. I just need the exhaust and intake to go with it so it can save us money and think of the environment.

I could probably carry the G17 if I can find the right holster. I'm 6'6" and 266lbs.

Appendix in the waistband is how I carry my G19.

Remora no clip holster is what it rides in most of the time.

By the way, great pistol at an awesome price for the current environment.

  • change your driving style.
  • keep you tires properly inflated.
