Seems like the truck wants you to change it sooner the first time since you only have 33% remaining with 3300 miles. Just do it and then follow the oil life monitor. There is nothing magical about 3000 miles. If that gives you piece of mind, why not 2000 miles for EVEN more "piece of mind". The only way to know is to do an oil analysis, but for the most part these 5.0 engines are solid.
