Default What price are you paying for '11 F150?

Hey everyone, I am new to the site am I am new to Ford Trucks. I have had chevy and dodge in the past and now I am wanting to try Ford because i am impressed with their looks, fit and finish, and the new motors really intrigue me. The Ecoboost motor seems pretty amazing!

Question: I am pricing out Ecoboost FX4 with a sticker price of 46,855. Dealer says will discount to 42,000. I was expecting a much larger drop. Maybe im just used to GM and Dodge style discounts of 8,000-10,000 off of sticker.

I also found a FX4 Ecoboost sticker price of 42,500 and same dealer only discounted to 40,000. I was wanting to be in the mid 35,000 range. Am i just dreaming or can i get the price down with more negotiating?

Thanks in advance...

Also, this is a sub-forum for the 2011+ engines. More general current-generation (2009 and later) questions should go in: https://www.f150forum.com/f38/

Ford has several different incentive programs running. You can find what incentives you are eligible for by going to www.ford.com, click on the "Incentives and Offers" link near the bottom of the page, select the vehicle you are interested in, and enter your ZIP code.

When you talk to dealers about price, you really need to make sure you are comparing apples to apples. One dealer may be telling you his price before the incentives are subtracted while another dealer may be including them in his quote.

You can go to www.truecar.com to "build" your vehicle and see the list price, invoice price, and the prices people are paying in your area for similar vehicles.

I used the Consumer Reports build and buy program. You pick the truck and the options and send out for bid. And no $ for this service. Lowest price was a dealer 150 miles away, but near my Dads house, so I went in and they tried to find the exact truck I wanted. No dice, only eco screws and no max tow. So I ordered a truck and they matched the price: $800 below invoice and all current incentives. $6200 off msrp. I'm happy with the deal although it seems alot of people did better than I
I like the CR program, no hassle and I had 5 bids for the same truck, all >$5k off msrp. I'd use it again. Go to zag.com for CR and other car buying services. You can't go wrong
Good luck

Just bought FX4 Ecoboost today. Total vehicle price = $48,965. MSRP = $46,965. Bought it for $38,094 Searched for 2 weeks, talked to 3 dealers. Dealer I bought from beat one dealer by $5,200 and other dealer by $6,500 (these numbers include trade).

The 1st 2 dealers I was looking at had 5.0's and one priced at $38,500 and the other priced at $42,500.

I really wanted the 5.0 until I drove it, didn't have power I expected, really felt it lacked low end. I never thought I'd say that I owned a V-6!

Only thing disappointing about Ecoboost is the 26 gal tank

I ordered an FX4 screw 4x4, etc...
Window sticker was at $51,490CAD. Paying $41,000CAD for it. $46,000CAD all in (includes HST) and a couple free oil changes and $1000 of accessories!!!

I got a great deal and I can't wait for the truck to get here!!

(no trade-in involved here)

My dealer sells for dealer invoice, which is approx 92% of msrp, less all current rebates. Don't give a price if it includes a trade as that is not telling us the real numbers.

2011 Screw 4x4 Lariet. Sticker was 45010. Paid 40800. Dealer wiggle room usually gets bigger as the cost goes up. Do yourself a favor, know how much the dealer paid for the truck before you go in. They usually pay a little less than the actual invoice.

I don't know how I got this deal but I did.

2011 lariat supercrew 41k sticker got it for 32,500.
I'm also had a trade in. Most places were trying to give me 9,000 for my trade in and this dealer gave me 11,200. I would of had trouble selling my trade in myself for $11,200.
Paid 32,500 for a freaking lariat screw 5.0
And got top dollar for my trade. I haven't read anyone getting a better deal than that.

So are you saying you paid 32,500-11,200 for your trade? For a net out of pocket of 21,300. If so that was a great deal. If not, that wasn't a great deal.
