Retired and loving it!
I changed the plugs in my EB to the new SP534's AND changed to a fresh tank of 92 octane........Folks, I think that I am more than convinced that premium is going to be my gas of choice from now on.
I drove 200 miles today on two lane highway at 65 to 68 mph. Coming home, we had a pretty monstrous head wind during which we usually get about high 15's to low 16's mpg.
I got 19.8, which REALLY surprised me as the highway is hilly and that head wind was right in front of us at about 20 to 25 mph. I've never got this good of mpg in these conditions!

I run mid grade 88 here in the tx panhandle. Elevation is about 3600 on the caprock and we get some odd fuel grades; low is 86, mid 88, high 91... Good luck finding anything higher unless it's aviation or race fuel. I tried 86 and the truck ran horrible, so mid grade it is.

I run 93 exclusively. I have one of the heaviest configs you can get w/ 3.73's. trip from Va to Pa loaded through the mountains with the AC on, cruise control never dropped a gear through all those hills.

I went through much of this winter at about 17mpg, down from 20-21 in the warmer months. But one change in the winter is that I use 87 octane to lower costs associated with the winter mileage. However, I got a deal on my ExxonMobile Speedpass for .25 off per gallon with three fill ups. I pumped 93 octane for 3 fills and my fuel mileage jumped to 19 mpg and it was still winter. I have taken long trips in the past where I used premium one way and regular on the return and saw no difference. I also run premium all summer because I tow. After this experience, I plan to stick with 91/93 full time.
Edit: I was using Gulf regular because it is the cheapest, but not a Top Tier gas. ExxonMobile is a Top Tier gas with more detergents and that may help keep the injectors cleaner.
