What fuel grade do you run in your Eco-Boost?

I am surprised that so many people run premium. I've run pretty much 87 octane even when towing and have not had any problems with detonation.
If I go on another long trip with the TT, I may try a couple of tanks in a row of premium and see what happens to my mpg.....

Turbos add heat, heat creates detonation. You should always have a safety margin for the detonation with higher octane.
How do you know you're not getting knock counts? What are you verifying with? Ear or data logging.

The ECM/U whatever they call them now will take timing out when needed thus no knock with 87. It's what the motor was designed for and published test results reflect. Run whatever makes you/your wallet feel good.

I run 91 octane with a 91 tune. I run 93 octane with a 93 tune when I get to the track, but 93 isn't available around here anymore so I run 91 for my regular everyday tune.

I have always ran 87, even pulling a 9,000 lb trailer in the Texas summer heat without any noticeable knock. The stock tune is extremely conservative and 87 is what it says in the manual. If I ever get a tune, it might be different, but for now , 87 is all I use.

2011-48K mostly on 87 octane. Premium doesn't seem to make any power, mpg, or other operational differences that I can tell. Where regular is 86 fill-ups are with a mid-grade. About the only time the truck gets filled with premium is for steep towing in hot weather only. Top tier fuels.
