If it were electrical or a boost leak why did it go away after the 2nd attempt to accelerate?
Wouldnt it continue to fail?

You most likely cleared the water out of the intercooler with the 100 mph run. It would run fine after that. However there are other issues. Have a look at the video at the link below.

First thing I did to my truck when I got it was change out the plugs to the newer ones. I gaped them at .030, that was approx 5k miles ago.
I can pull them today and take a peak at them to see if they are still gaped correctly and there is no cracks.

Suspect the intercooler is your problem. Suggest you take it in for the latest TSB modifications. Either that or join the class action lawsuit against Ford.

Will they have to recreate the issue at the dealership or can they scan the computer and see what happened?

So I decided to pull the plugs. All were gapped at .033 and looked good, minus the two cracked ones. 2nd cylinder back on passenger side and rear cylinder on drivers side. Plugs have 5k miles on them.

"May 29, 2013 - I work for a Ford Dealership in Grande Prairie, AB and we are having a lot of issues with spark plugs and coils that cause this very problem. The plugs are getting cracked in the porcelain in the same spot on all of them about 10mm in length. We are not sure if the coils are causing the plugs to crack or the cracked plugs are burning out the coils since there has not been any official info released on the matter. Ford has an updated plug. The original is an SP.528 and the updated one is SP.534.
The first time I encountered this we ended up replacing a total of 13 spark plugs and 7 coils under warranty just to figure out that we needed to replace all coils and plugs. At that point the updated plugs were not available in Canada. That was the most extreme case so far. Since then, we have been using the updated plugs, replacing one or two at a time and there have been little to no combacks as of yet."
So, you may want to put the cracked plugs back in and tell them about it. If this post is correct they should replace them with the improved plug under warranty...

Copy. I have the updated ones installed.
I wonder if they will squak since I removed them and found the issue?
