Default Well, ford is replacing my intercooler and cats

Dropped the truck off last night. Got a call this morning. The are going to replace the cats, the intercooler, and deflector shield under warranty. He said it was so easy to diagnose because I left the check engine light on for them so it was real easy to pull the code and reference the tsb. He had another ecoboost go in earlier that day for the same reason. Parts are 2 weeks out so Ill post back then.

Good I'm glad you might get this issue fixed. I think I might have just lucked out on the inter cooler issue due to Colorado being so dry??

Thought I had to. Guess not. Honestly though, for my normal day to day grind, I would have never had this happen. But I like to jump on the throttle at random times so that didn't work.

Ill be glad to get the truck back and load up the updated tune I got from Mile at MPT. Driving around stock sucks haha

Mind if I ask what dealer helped you out? I know you are in my area and would like to know who the good ones are in case I have any issues. I bought mine from Mac Haik in G'town, but haven't had the best luck w/ them for service.

Maxwell in south austin. Always treated me great.

And in case y'all are wondering, I took the tuner off last week, installed the twirly gig things in the intake, and reinstalled the factory intake on the truck before I took it in.

So it sounds like they didn't detect that you had been running a tune? You would think that if they could, they would have, to get out of covering a repair of that magnitude under warranty.

Check engine light was on with the code for the tsb and they had another ecoboost come in the same day for it. Hell they has only been open for an hour before they called and said they were replacing it.

Got the truck back, loaded the tuner, loaded the rifles, loaded the quad (depressing it makes the truck handle this poorly), and headed to the deer lease. Ill report back once they replace everything. He said it would be a couple of weeks.

I guess I called them "twirly things", not twirly gigs (so no copyright infringement )
