It only shows the publication date for the TSB, which is Oct 30, 2012.

Well I got my truck back yesterday. They replaced the intercooler and put a shield over the top half to keep it warmer. They also replaced a coil and the cylinder 6 spark plug. The intercooler was filled with filled with sludgy condensation and the plug was a bit fouled. Hopefully this wont happen again.....

Turbos have been around for a long time. Anyone want to explain to me how water is building up in the intercooler, and not flowing with the air? There will always be some condensation, but it should just travel with the air and have zero effect on performance. Is the Ford IC designed so poorly that its actually separating the water, allowing it to collect in the IC, until the restriction eventually pushes it out all at once into the engine? I find it strange that an IC would be designed so poorly.

Of course, there's no difference with the intercooler from truck to truck, only the driving conditions. It's always been a matter of when, IMO, as many plead that their truck is fine.

Since it's a known issue, Ford just needs to do a recall on this. They need the recall to keep face instead of allowing these reliability issues to keep popping up down the road, when a simple fix can be done.
