The hole is 1/16". It's so small the boost loss in extremely minimal. It's been beaten like a dead horse in the main condensation hole thread.

Thank you, I didn't see the original thread.

Has anyone figured out how so many other turbo vehicles seem to escape this issue....but the ford ecoboost has so many troubles?

Which issue? We have two separate issues in discussion in this thread.

The first, condensation, is not unique to ford by any means. VWs have the issue occasionally, cobalts have specific parts to address it, and things like volvos came from the factory with weep holes in the past.

The second issue is largely (completely?) internet handwringing, not unique to boosted applications, and the overblown concern is largely results of a snake oil salesmen that shamelessly pimped his products with lies and unethical business practices.

Thanks LastResort.
I was primarily talking about the condensation issue.

That is caused by the outlet of the intercooler being at the bottom of the intercooler. On Grand Nationals the inlet and outlet are on the top and if there is condensation in the intercooler it stays at the bottom and can't get out.

The condensation issue is also more likely to happen in humid areas. I've never had it happen to me in the 5 years I've had ecoboosts. I've removed the intercooler a couple times to clean it out and it was bone dry.
